Socktoberfest at Knit Pickers PEI
Fall in Prince Edward Island is breathtakingly beautiful. There is a crispness in the air that brings to mind pumpkins, apple cider, colourful leaves and thoughts of cosy sweaters and throws and evenings by the fire knitting up a pair of your favourite socks for the chilly days of winter. Just one problem - you don't know how to knit socks! Not to worry - we've got you covered.
Margaret, an internationally recognised knitter and weaver, will share with you her tips and techniques for casting on and knitting on double-pointed needles. You'll practice turning a heel and grafting the toe of your sock for seamless comfort!
When the workshop wraps up, you'll take home 2 skeins of Briggs & Little wool in your choice of colour and an original Knit Pickers "Perfect Wool Socks" pattern.
"Socktoberfest at Knit Pickers PEI" is offered every Saturday from 1 pm to 4 pm from September 11th to October 9th, 2021. Space is limited - advance registration is required to reserve your spot.
Price: $60.00 (+HST) per person. Have your own double-pointed needles? Bring them along! If not - we have, available to purchase, a lovely selection of birch needles, handcrafted in Atlantic Canada.
**Note: Basic knitting skills (how to knit and purl stitches) are required.
Please check the calendar for dates that this workshop is offered. Please review our workshop booking and cancellation policy.
