What is GOTS? It refers to "Global Organic Textile Standards" and it's a certification guaranteed to emphasize the environment and sustainability in all levels of the wool manufacturing process including energy and waste water usage, as well as ethical business practices. This merino wool has been given a chlorine-free treatment that creates a machine-washable, GOTS-approved superwash wool. The glorious colours are all hand-dyed in Nova Scotia using flowers, leaves, bark, roots, and sometimes even bugs! Approximately 4 oz/115 g and 420 yd/385 m per skein. Knit using a 2.5 - 4 mm/US 1.5 - 6 needle gives you 28-32 stitches to a 4 inch/10 cm square.
