On May 6, 2022, the PEI Government plans to lift the Covid-19 mask requirement but is strongly recommending that masks continue to be worn in indoor settings. Here at Knit Pickers PEI, we want to ensure the safety of all of our visitors. I will continue to wear a mask whenever there is a guest in the studio. If you plan to attend a workshop, our policy is that masks will be required. The studio is not a large space and physical distancing is not always possible. As most workshops last at least a couple of hours - and that time will very likely be spent in close proximity to others - we feel that this policy is in everyone's best interest. We want to ensure that all of our guests feel comfortable and safe - including those who may be immunocompromised or have family/friends who are immunocompromised, or who are unable to be vaccinated or have children/family who are unvaccinated, or who for whatever personal reasons need to take extra precautions. I know I do not feel imposed upon when taking such a small step to help my neighbours, friends and guests - and I'm sure you feel the same way.
